Wednesday I had the opportunity to photograph eagles and other waterfowl at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax, VA with Charlie Bobbish. Special thanks to Sue Bobbish for loaning me her mountain bike for the trip. Eagles build their nests as high as they can in trees and as far away from people as possible. The nest we photographed is on an island in the lake, far from people. We had to use long lenses and really crop the resulting images in post production to get the closeups we wanted. While we were there we met the "Ansel Adams" of eagle watching at Burke Lake Park. Gil thank you for taking us under your wing (pun intended!).
