Life's Peak Moments / by Ed Shanahan

Few things in life give us greater satisfaction and self-validation than when we accomplish something that is a stretch, when we have reached a height that we have never reached before.  We have all felt that feeling of euphoria and almost disbelief.  It sparks our soul.

On 21-April my nephew Adam Shanahan of Franklin, MA bested 77 fencers in his division to win a gold medal, his first medal in competition. To make the event even more special, his mom and dad, Anne Mahoney Shanahan and Paul Shanahan were in attendance as was his brother, Kevin Shanahan, an international fencing referee and his aunt and uncle, Cyndi Shanahan and Ed Shanahan.   Congratulations Adam!
